Prayer 1
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)

Father, I feel so confident when I consciously bring myself to realize You are with me. Forgive me when I slip into the moments of doubting You are there. But, Father, there are many lonely hours for me. It seems I so easily forget and forsake You. Loneliness leaves me feeling uneasy and restless, Father. Even though loved ones and friends are near me this loneliness persists. I look to Your Word, Father, for help with my loneliness. I don't want to go through life feeling this way. I desire and need the assurance of Your presence and power. Since You are my God, I know in my mind and in my heart that You are with me always. I will not be dismayed in the very presence of the most difficult circumstance. Father, I won't be dismayed when income fails. I won't be dismayed when death comes to a loved one or close friend. I won't be dismayed when friends forsake me and I am evil spoken of by those I thought were bosom friends. Your strength is mine. I am too weak to face all of these things myself. You are strong enough to care for me and for those who taunt me. Your right hand of righteousness is my support. The hand of my enemy cannot defeat me. The hand of those who despitefully use me will weaken and fail. Thank You, Father, for Your help that never falters nor fails. It is not conditional, but is unconditional. It is always there for me and always will be. How grateful I am to know Your help is there even when I am not consciously aware of it.

Prayer 2
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. (Psalm 47:3)

Father, my loneliness is truly helped when I realize afresh You are the One who heals the broken heart. You bind up the wounds suffered during the ordinary shuffles of life as well as those received in more bizarre ways and circumstances. The broken dish which is of such great concern to many is far less complex and far less valuable than my broken heart. I have but one heart and it must be touched by Your healing hand or I am undone. You are my healing and I thank You for Your wholeness to me, now, and always.

Prayer 3
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39)

My loneliness dissipates with the good news that there is no person or situation which can separate me from the love of Christ Jesus. He is Your Son, Whom You love so much. I am sure You love His friends as much as You love Him. I am one of His friends and I thank You for Your love for me because of Him. Tribulation, distress, persecution, lack of food, lack of money for the necessities of life, the threat of nuclear destruction, the hell of war are all things which alienate me from others and from You. Yet, these things really cannot separate me from You. They can make me almost incurably lonely, but they cannot separate me from You. This is my comfort. Father, when I meditate on You and Your Word I realize I am more than a conqueror. I am in Christ Jesus. He conquered all. I can and will conquer all as well. My loneliness gives way in the Presence of Your Spirit which assures me that neither death, nor any angel, nor governments, nor powers of men, nor beasts, nor demons shall be able to come between You and me. Father, I don' t have to fear any thing which now exists or anything which may someday come into existence. You have indeed conquered all and are over all. Thank You, Father, that I do not have to be lonely, because there is no height or depth I can go which will remove me from Your loving Presence. There is no creature of today or tomorrow which can separate me from Your love. Jesus is the One Who sticks so close to me that nothing can wrench or snatch me from His Presence. He is the comfort I need in the face of all loneliness. Praise His Name forever.

Prayer 4
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. (Isaiah 54:10)

Lord, I praise You for Your truth that Your covenant with me is eternal. The mountains may erode to a plain, hills depress into valleys, but You will forever be the same. I am linked with the eternal and I give thanks for the way this comforts me this very moment.

Prayer 5
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (John 14:18)

Your Presence becomes even more meaningful to me when I seek to appropriate Your Word that You will never leave me comfortless. I positively and absolutely do not have to be lonely. You will come to me in Your own unique and powerful way when the lonely moments threaten me. I thank You for this Promise of Yours.

Prayer 6
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. (Deuteronomy 33:27)

Thank You, Father, for the comforting arms of my mother, father, friends, and other loved ones. However, they can in no way compare with the comfort of Your everlasting arms. I know Your arms sustain the stars and the planets. They nestle the galaxies and caress expanding space. They are everlasting and never tiring. The enemy, loneliness, is defeated by You, Father. Thank You for this. I come to You, my refuge, and believe my loneliness is dispatched to the place reserved for it by You. I don't worry where You take it. I just rejoice it is gone.

Prayer 7
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
(John 14:1)

Father, my heart is no longer troubled. My life is full of problems and situations which could defeat me. They do not because Your Presence sustains. I do believe in You. I believe in Your Son. I believe You both care for me in a greater and more creative way then I can possibly care for myself. It is unto You that I commit my body, soul, and spirit. My troubled, lonely heart has been mended. I am Yours and You are mine. Thank You. In Jesus Name. Amen.
