Prayer 1
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. (Colossians 3:12-14)

Father, You make no bones about it. A fruitful life as outlined in Your Word, is one which we love others. I realize that there is no fruitful life in the Spirit outside of the Lord Jesus Christ. Outside of Him I cannot bear fruit that is eternal. To be in Him and He in me involves love. You do not hide the truth in some veiled verbiage, but plainly teach me through Your Word that I am to love. You want me to LOVE that I might know and others might know that You bring me into the bond of perfection in You. Not because of my being perfect but because of Your perfect Son the Lord Jesus Christ in whom I live and move and have my being. Truly I love You Jesus and want to love others through You. Enable me to see that a fruitful life for You is impossible without a holy life in You. I know I cannot be completely holy as You Father, but I know I can be bound to You in the bond of perfectness. This perfectness comes from You and is accepted by You.

Father, I want to be holy because You are holy. I want to be holy because from that issues forth fruitfulness; fruitfulness that is acceptable in Your sight and which is a great blessing to those around me. I acknowledge that it is not because of my own goodness or merit that I have been elected to be a child of Yours by rebirth. For I have been born of the Spirit, called to You by the Spirit. This truth Father is beyond my comprehension, but it is a great comfort to me. It enriches every part of my being and all that I think and do. I do want to live a fruitful life for You. Therefore, right now, I want to forgive any with whom I may have differences which have lead to ill feelings. Never do You ask that I accept the wrong, but You constantly insist that in the presence of wrong I still love. And certainly You have taught that I cannot harbor resentment and bring forth fruit worthy of You. You insist Father that I put on the garment of love, and I never, never remove it. Thank You Father for helping me to have a spirit of humbleness, kindness, meekness, and long-suffering. These are gifts from You, Father, which I want to cultivate to fruitfulness in my life. They are gifts from You which I want to the fullest degree possible. I now cultivate these gifts as never before as I forgive one and all even as Christ has forgiven me. He is my perfection, now and always and He is my path of fruitfulness. Thank You that as I give myself to You, I truly am fruitful.

Prayer 2
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. (Psalms 41:1)

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. (Proverbs 19:17 )

He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. (Proverbs 14:21)

Father, the life of fruitfulness in You that I seek, I know, involves kindness. I cannot live with a mean spirit and walk and live as you would have me to do. Enable me Father to be willing to give to the poor of my time, talent, and treasure. Teach me anew that You need nothing. Teach me anew that the only way I can serve You is through my serving others. Father, please deliver me from pious prayers, and launch me into service to others that will bring forth fruit with which You will be well pleased. Help me to really believe Jesus when He said, "Inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto Me." Herein Father I know there is fruitfulness. Truly Father I want to render service unto Your Son Jesus, the one I worship, and the One who has redeemed me. And as I do, I know I will be helping others. Father, thank You for this truth. And Father, I need others. Everyone else needs somebody, but all of us deep within most of all need You.

Prayer 3
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness,  temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. (Galatians 5:22)

Father, I know I cannot find peace outside of You. I know that no one else can. There is no peace to the wicked. There's perfect peace to those in You. And Father, as I consider the fact that You have called me to a fruitful life, I m grateful that fruitfulness can be forth coming and a life filled with Your peace, because Your Son told me, "My peace I leave with You." Father as I pray for a fruitful life, I know the fruit of the Spirit must be a part of my life. I know if I humble myself before You that You will give me a meek spirit. My meekness is not weakness Father. In fact, You assure me the meek shall inherit the earth. They shall not lose it, but gain it. Sometimes Father, I get awfully impatient. Grant to me the spirit of long-suffering. Help me to seek to understand others and to accept them as they are. May I be long-suffering towards the right things. Help me to be short tempered towards sin and wrong in my life. May I not tolerate such things at all for any length of time. May they be the short lived experiences and not the long standing habits.

But Father, even as I am short tempered toward my own sin and frailties, may I be long suffering towards the apparent failures and frailties of others. May I be as long suffering toward them as I want you and others to be to me. And Father I know that living this lifestyle will be a fruitful life style. Father especially forgive me for times when I am not forgiving. I do so desire that others see that when I fail it is not intentional. Even as I want others to be forbearing of me, Father, I thank You that You can give me the spirit of forbearance towards them. There are those who irritate me Father. There are some who seem to challenge practically everything I seek to do in my walk with You. I can' t always understand this, and my spirit has a tendency to become hard toward them, but Father if my life is to be fruitful, I must appreciate the fact that You' ve told me and all others who love and serve You to love one another.

Prayer 4
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
(
John 15:1-5)

May I realize I have been forgiven for so much by You, Father. Forgiven through the Lord Jesus Christ. May this truth permeate my total being so much that I will truly forgive any and all whom I feel have sinned against me. Really, they have done so little toward me compared to what I have done directly and indirectly towards You. I do forgive them Father as Your Word directs. Thank You for helping me to do this. And Father I want to put on Your love in abundance. Most days I am tempted to be more concerned about the clothes I put on rather than the spirit I have put on and which is within. I want the spirit of love always. Thank You Father for revealing that love to me. hank You for the relationship that brings forth fruit. Thank You Father that it is possible for me to bear fruit worthy of my walk with You and that will be to Your glory. Thank You for giving me triumphs in life and for defeating the negative. And I praise You for the fruitful life and Your Son Jesus who indeed is the vine. Father, as You abide in me, the fruit that is forthcoming is that which You desire. As I permit You to abide within me, it is then that I live victoriously, and nothing, nothing can separate me from You, and nothing will destroy the fruit that is brought forth, for that fruit is eternal. And Father I pray I will always seek not to lay up treasures in this world, but I will seek Father to lay up treasures in the world to come. To lay up the treasures that will eternally be with me as I am with You. Amen.
