Prayer 1
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
(Isaiah 54:14)

Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am established in Your righteousness. You have set me free. I no longer need to be in the bondage of fear and frustration. You have delivered me from the life of living in fear of oppression and terror. The enemy would cause me to fear life. He seeks to keep me oppressed with fear of life, fear of death, fear of want, fear of disease, fear of loss of job, fear of being in right relationship with You, fear of doing wrong when I want to be doing right, fear of things which I can't even verbalize. These fears possess me, and yet I know You have an answer for me, Father. I do want to be delivered from fear. I praise Your Name for helping me to understand one of the biggest steps I can take to eliminate fear is to realize I am established in Your righteousness. It is Your protective spiritual covering that gives me my confidence and hope in the face of all the many changes in life which would otherwise threaten and in some cases even defeat me.

Prayer 2
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (Isaiah 43:2)

Father, Your Word lets me know there are many waters through which I must pass. The rivers of life often overflow me and I am flooded with situations beyond my own capabilities or endurance. The problems of this world, the diseases on every hand, the distresses of disappointments, and the frustrations of failures are all part of the fire through which I must walk. All of these things leave me fearful, Father. They challenge my faith, confuse my mind, and disturb my spirit. But in the midst of my fears I thank You, Father, that You are with me. I am not alone as I tread the dread waters of life. I thank You that I never have to cross a river by myself, for You are always with me. The flames from the ferocious battles of life do not consume me, Father, because of Your Presence. Like the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace I am preserved. Even the odor of the smoke rising from the ashes of shattered dreams and crushed plans does not cling to my life. The world cannot understand what I have experienced as Your child, because it does not understand You.

Prayer 3
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (II Timothy 1:7)

I praise your Name, Father, that you have not given me the spirit of fear. This spirit when it pervades my life is from Satan. He is the one who wants to defeat and to damn me. Fear is of him and not of You. hank you, Father, that You have given to me the spirit of power. Power to do more than I could ever do in my own strength. Thank You for Your spirit of love which enables me to reach out even to my enemies and to love them and to do them good. Thank You for the sound mind which is Your gift to me.

Prayer 4
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (John 4:18)

Precious Father, when I love I do not fear. And when my love is mingled with Your perfect love all fear is gone. It is cast out as a person would cast out unneeded and unwanted items. It is no longer a part of my life. Satan endeavors to torment me with fear of ill health, financial distress, loss of friends, failure at my job, and that family members really do not love me. These fears when fed by Satan's spirit enables him to warp my perspective and to bring torment to my entire being. Father, thank You that I can stand upon Your Word. I know when fear engulfs me I have moved from Your Word and from Your perfect love.

Prayer 5
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (Romans 8:15)

It is then, Father, that I cry out in spirit to be delivered. You hear my cry and I am set free. I know I have not received the spirit of bondage and fear. I know that You have not called me unto Yourself to torment me. My spirit rejoices in the Spirit of adoption. I realize afresh I am Your child. How pleasant and powerful it is to cry out to You and to call You my Father. "Abba, Father," are words which dispel fear and rekindle my faith.

Prayer 6
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. (Proverbs 29:25)

Father, it is when I begin to fear the things and attitudes of men and women that I am snared by the spirit of fear. It takes conscious effort on my part to continually put my trust in You. My mind tells me the only safe place is in the center of Your will, but my emotions sometimes cause me to feel confused and contrary. It is then, Father, that I turn and put my trust in You alone. As I do this there comes Your calm assurance that nothing can harm me.

Prayer 7
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

You become my light and I know You are my salvation. The strength I derive from these truths, Father, enables me to face life unafraid. I don't have to fear anyone. I don't have to fear a relative, I don't have to fear my boss, I don't have to fear my neighbor, I don't have to fear my competition, I don't have to fear disease, I don't have to fear death, I don't have to fear anyone or anything. I do not have to be afraid. I can be confident and triumphant in You.

Prayer 8
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

How precious it is, Father, to have fear depart and Your peace pervade my whole being. Your blessed Son left His peace with His disciples. I know His peace was also intended for me. His peace is with me. It is not the temporary peace the world gives. It is Your deep, abiding, precious peace which I now possess. I don't have to live with fear, Father. Surely I can overcome fear and move to Your peace and power. Father, the world cannot give this peace. The world doesn't know what it is like, or from whence it comes, or even how to appropriate it. It comes from You, Precious Father, and through our Lord Jesus Christ. My heart is no longer troubled, Father. Your Word lets me know it doesn't have to be troubled. I don't have to be afraid.

Prayer 9
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. (Psalm 23:4,5)

Father, fear is so far from me when I am aware of walking close to You that even the valley of death does not scare me. It is one in which there are dark shadows. When I am walking toward You, Father, I don't see those shadows. I needn't fear them. There can be no real evil befall me. You are with me and there is no one or anything that I need other than You. Your correcting rod and comforting staff bring a feeling of security which sustains me. I know the table You have spread for me is overflowing with an abundance of blessings. In the presence of my enemy, disease, I can feast at Your table of wholeness. My enemy, death, cannot starve me because I feast at Your table of everlasting life. Thank You, Father, for the anointing of Your presence which flows upon my head and into my heart. Thank You that my cup of joy is filled to overflowing. My cup is so full with Your presence and peace there is no room for fear. It is gone. It cannot remain and by Your grace I will not let it return. Your Word has helped me to conquer fear. Praise Your Holy Name, Father. Free of fear, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
