A Child's Prayer For God's Blessing

Prayer 1
Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. (Matthew l9:13)

Heavenly Father, I thank You that Your Son, the Lord Jesus, did welcome little children. He loved them so much that He laid His hands upon them and blessed them. This really makes me feel good. I believe that Jesus still wants to bless little children like me. I thank You that I can imagine His hands being laid upon my head and sometimes upon my shoulders. It really makes me feel good to think about this. I feel bad about those who tried to keep the little children away from Jesus. I guess they really didn't know what they were doing. They didn't know how much Jesus really loved them. 

Father, I pray that no one will keep little children away from Jesus today. Help them to do everything possible to bring all the little children to Him. I pray my father and mother and other friends will help me to know more about Jesus. I pray they will help me to know I can come to Jesus and He will bless me when I am glad, when I am sad, when I am lonely, when I feel real good, when I am naughty, when I am real mad, when I think nobody really loves me, when I feel that I am no good and everything seems wrong, when I get presents, when I am told I can't have something I want real bad, and, when I just hope that someone loves me. Dear God, help the big people to teach me about You. I want to know what the Bible says and I want to know about how to pray better. I want to know how to be good for my father and mother and how to be nice to other boys and girls.

Prayer 2
But Jesus said, Suffer (permit) little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew l9:14)

I have so much I want to know about spiritual matters and I really believe Jesus wants to help me know these things. Even though Jesus' friends tried to keep little children from Him I sure am glad that He wants me and all other children to come to Him. I am so happy I can be a part of Your Kingdom. It really makes me feel good. I don't understand all about Your Kingdom and what it means, but I really want to be a part of it.

 Prayer 3
And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. (Matthew l9:15)

Father, right now I am just going to believe Jesus is laying His hands on me. I want to believe His presence and power is mine.

• I want Him to lay hands on me and help me with my problems at home and at school.

• I want Him to heal me and to help my body to be strong. 
  (Mention specifically any illnesses you may have.)        
• I want Him to heal those I love and who are so good to me.
  (Mention specific illnesses of loved ones and thank Him for healing them.)        
• I just want His blessing.

Thank you, Father, that Jesus loves me. I pray in His Name. Amen.
